Yesterday we visited the Bishop Museum. It has a magnificent collection of Hawaiian and Polynesian artifacts and history. The main building itself is equally impressive, constructed in the 1890s from lava rock with arches and stairways of Maui Koa wood. Here Sharron is admiring a fabric art display, layers and layers of colourful Hawaiian fabric dating back over a century. And of course, a vintage Hawaiian Ukulele.
